Alex is the CEO of Flow.bio, an AI-first genomics platform for modern biology teams. He has a Bachelors in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh, and a PhD in Machine Learning and Neuroscience from Imperial College London, where he worked on building deep learning time-series models of human behaviour from visual and motion capture data.
Following his PhD he worked with the Airbus AI team, building predictive models of pilot behaviour from A350 pilot cockpit data.
He's been a software developer for over 15 years, and has built science-focused platforms with over 200,000 annual users.
