Ariel Harmoko

Ariel Harmoko is the Founder and CEO of Artifact AI, a company building autonomous AI financial workers for accounting firms.
His interest in AI/ML began during the COVID lockdowns, when he submitted a research proposal to the University of Cambridge on denoising brain tumour MRI scans using convolutional neural networks, leading to a position as the youngest ML Researcher at the university and working with a spin off lab to early diagnose diseases with deep learning.
During his Sixth Form studies, Ariel completed multiple machine learning research internships, including at Lyzeum and the University of Cambridge, before going on to study Computer Science at University College London (UCL). In his first year at UCL, he founded Feast, a home-chef marketplace startup, before refocusing fully on applied AI and systems engineering.
Ariel also helped JP Morgan build their first internal GPT for software developers and equity derivatives trader.
Outside of technology, Ariel is a three-time National Professional Karting Champion, having started his professional racing career at age 10. He has also received awards at international academic competitions, including the World Scholar’s Cup hosted at Yale University.
EWOR has been instrumental in sharpening both my ambition and execution as a founder. The community pushed me to think bigger, move faster, and hold myself to a significantly higher bar. Access to experienced operators, honest feedback, and a network of founders building at a similar pace has directly influenced how we approach product, hiring, and long-term vision at Artifact.
