Dila Ekrem

Dila grew up in fencing halls and on the road, competing across Europe. She represented Turkey on the National Fencing Team, won over 35 medals, became an 11-time national champion, and reached a top-10 world ranking.
After scoring in the top 1% of Turkey’s high school entrance exam, she attended the Austrian High School in Istanbul, where she developed a passion for neuroscience. By 18, she worked on cancer and neuroscience research and published her first research paper. She then continued her studies in Computer Engineering and Business at the Technical University of Munich and worked on startup research with the MIT Sloan School of Business.
After roles in financial services and private equity, she became the first founder’s associate at a Lightspeed-backed startup in Munich, working directly with the founders and seeing early-stage building up close. At 20, Dila joined EWOR’s Ideation Fellowship after meeting her co-founders at TUM.
Today, she is bringing AI into one of the world’s most overlooked and undigitized arenas: the back office of the construction industry.
EWOR gave me the ideal setting to take my first steps as a founder. Thanks to the fellowship, I now have close friends, supporters and mentors all over the world.
