Explaino
Explaino solves the knowledge transfer gap in enterprises. 85% of critical knowledge is trapped in documents and forgotten within a week. Their proprietary visualization language model turns any data input into conceptual visualizations in explainer videos in under 2 minutes. By creating this interoperability layer for enterprise knowledge, employees retain critical knowledge 7x more at 97% lower costs compared to manual video creation.
They are currently at €356k ARR from founder-led sales alone, with 25 paying enterprise clients such as Schneider Electric, Versicherungskammer Bayern or Sparkasse.
About the Tech
Their AI-powered proprietary visualization language converts documents, meetings, or guides into animated explainer videos with structured visualizations such as diagrams and process flows.
In other words - they infuse logic into visualizations so that employees can understand their job.
About the Team
Florian enrolled in an online university at the age of 12 to teach himself programming in Python and Java through video courses. While learning, he noticed something that would later shape the idea behind explaino: complex concepts were dramatically easier to understand and remember when they were explained visually. Compared to reading documents, video explanations helped him grasp ideas faster and retain them longer. But when he tried to create such explanations himself, he realized how time-consuming it was to structure knowledge and turn it into clear visualizations. This frustration ultimately led him to start building explaino.
He built his first machine learning models at 15 and founded his first startup at 17 while still in high school. Since then, Florian has been recognized for his entrepreneurial work and vision around AI and knowledge transfer. He received the 27Talents Award (Gründerszene 2026), was selected as Leader of Tomorrow at the St. Gallen Symposium (2024), was named Business Insider 20 under 20 (2022) and won the Startup Teens Award (2022). Florian has also spoken about AI and entrepreneurship on international stages including Bits & Pretzels, Start Summit in St. Gallen, and the Web Summit main stage in Lisbon.
Together with four technical founding engineers, he is now building explaino. The team combines deep experience across AI systems, scalable infrastructure and product engineering. One founding engineer was among the first ten employees at an AI unicorn as a machine learning engineer. Another scaled a live video streaming platform to more than 2 million users with 10 video streams per second throughput.
Together, the team is building the interoperability layer for enterprise knowledge transfer — enabling companies to transform complex documents, presentations and meetings into clear visual explanations automatically.
