Maxim Melnikov is Cian’s board chair and former CEO, with experience in digital marketplaces, governance and executive succession.
Board Chair, Cian
Maxim Melnikov served as CEO of digital real-estate marketplace Cian from 2014 until 2022. After handing over day-to-day leadership, he became executive chair and adviser, with responsibilities covering long-term strategy, partnerships, acquisitions and organizational development. Cian became publicly traded during his CEO tenure.
Before Cian, Melnikov was CEO and director of Media3 Holding, overseeing a print-and-digital media portfolio. He also served on HeadHunter Group’s board. His background includes marketplace operations, corporate finance and the transition from executive leadership to board governance. He holds a master’s degree in finance and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
