Ariel Harmoko

Fascinated by the field of AI/ML during the lockdown period, Ariel sent a research proposal to the University of Cambridge regarding brain tumour MRI scans denoising algorithm using Convolutional Neural Network. He then was offered a summer internship to work as a machine learning researcher. After completing two summer internship as a machine learning researcher at Lyzeum and University of Cambridge's Image Analysis Group during his Sixth Form studies, Ariel entered his first year of university at UCL studying Computer Science. In his first year at UCL he started a start-up called Feast, which is a marketplace for home cooks and chef where they're allowed to run their own restaurant in their homes. He no longer runs it, and continued his pursuit in AI/ML. In the summer of 2023, Ariel interned as a software engineer in JP Morgan Chase London office where he helped the firm integrate large language models for different use-cases. Outside of tech, Ariel is 3x National Professional Karting Champion. He started his professional racing journey when he was 10 years old. He received awards at prestigious academic competition such as the World Scholar's Cup hosted at Yale University.
